REFINED & CLASSIC "DRAP DAMIER"

Drap Damier, which was used to make the gaiters or "bas herbages" of the fishermen and paveurs of Marseilles, is the oldest fabric produced by our factory. For more than two centuries, it has been made by felting woollen cloth in the water of the Sorgue river, using an unchanged method. In the past, 'black' wools were used for their dark stripes. Still spun, woven and felted in our workshops today, it adorns the saddlecloths seen on horses throughout the Camargue. For the creation of accessories and for professionals, in addition to the traditional brown, we have created a capsule collection of colours. These are now available for private customers.
