Care instructions for your rug
In case of accidental stain, your rug will be easily washable.
ORIGIN OF THE STAIN |

SUGAR - SYRUP |
Apply pure cold water only or together with 5% of ammonia, then swab/neutralize with pure water |
Generously soak the stained location then swab it, do not rub it, with a clean cloth (de toile?) rag |
FAT STAIN: |
Fat solvent (Perchlorethylene) |
Remove the fat as much as possible, generously water the stain and apply and absorbent powder such as talc or Sommières powder (Montmorillonite). Let it dry during 24 hours and hoover it |
WET PAINT |
Turpentine spirit or paint solvent |
Soak the stain with turpentine spirit or solvent and process as for a fat stain |
MUD |
Water together with two tablespoons of white vinegar |
Water the stain and swab with a clean rag |
URINE |
Pure white vinegar |
Sponge completely and apply immediately the white vinegar. Urine has a bleaching power. |
Following the “WOOLLEN RUG” method indicated on the item by the producer, it is also possible to use warm water together with detergent or specialized products designed for woollen items.
If possible, set an absorbent textile/fabric or a piece of blotting paper under the rug, at the stain location (to facilitate the cleaning).
